About the Call Full Details

Black Box Gallery invites photographers to participate in “Camera Work: Shadow and Light,” a juried group exhibition dedicated to the study of light and darkness. The show focuses on how shadows enhance subject relationships and provide dimension, whether through dramatic black and white patterns or ethereal color textures. The gallery seeks a broad range of contemporary interpretations of these fundamental elements of photography.

This call is open to both amateur and professional photographers from around the globe. Applicants must submit work that demonstrates a creative use of lighting values. Selected artists will have their work curated by Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, who brings over 25 years of experience in arts administration and education.
