About the Call Full Details
The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) presents an open call for photographers worldwide to submit images that explore the special nature of monochrome prints. This includes works in black and white, sepia, or shades of a single color, emphasizing emotion, texture, and beauty expressed through gradations from light to dark.
Submissions are welcome using any photographic process, such as traditional prints, image transfers, emulsion transfers, or encaustic techniques. Whether your original image was captured with film, a digital SLR, or a phone, if the final product is a compelling monochrome image, it fits the call. Both amateur and professional photographers are eligible to participate, with experimental and mixed techniques encouraged. Please note that only 2-D work will be considered.
Entry Fees
$40 for the first three images. Additional images may be submitted for $10 each.
