About the Call Full Details

Woman Made Gallery invites women and nonbinary artists to submit work for “Feminism 250: Woman Made America,” an exhibition coinciding with the United States’ 250th anniversary. This showcase reflects on the extensive history of feminist thought while exploring contemporary movements and potential futures. Artists are encouraged to submit works that engage with themes such as activism, intersectionality, social transformation, and the reclamation of cultural agency.

Submissions are open to artists at all career stages working in any media. Participants should focus on histories of erasure, gender justice, and creative responses to current political challenges. The exhibition aims to honor overlooked figures and amplify marginalized narratives within a national moment of remembrance and re-imagining.

Works must be original and created without the primary use of AI image-generation tools. Collaborative projects are permitted, provided all participating artists meet the eligibility criteria. Selected artworks will be featured in a group exhibition at the gallery’s Chicago location from August to September 2026.
