The European Media Art Platform (EMAP) announces its 2027 Residency Programme, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme. This opportunity invites artists, artist duos, collectives, and other artistic collaborations working across digital, media, robotic, and bio art in its broadest sense – from immersive installations to bio-technological research.
Applicants are invited to apply for a two-month production residency at one of EMAP’s 15 prestigious host organisations located across Europe. Collaboration is a core aspect of the 2027 call, requiring every applicant to work with a collaborating partner. This partner can either be established prior to application or identified later, potentially with assistance from the host institution.
Eligibility is restricted to residents or taxpayers of an EU member state, or of an eligible non-EU country under Creative Europe. While undergraduate and Master’s students are not eligible, PhD candidates and emerging artists of any age or academic background are encouraged to apply.
