Foundwork invites artists worldwide to apply for the 2026 Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual juried award celebrating exceptional artistic practices across all media. This international open call provides a significant opportunity for artists to gain recognition and support.
To be eligible, artists must maintain a published profile on the Foundwork website throughout the selection period, from September 25, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Profiles must include at least six artworks and a complete artist statement.
The distinguished 2026 jury comprises five eminent leaders from the contemporary art community, bringing diverse perspectives from institutions and galleries across Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Guatemala City, New York, and Berlin.

The Prizes
One artist will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant, studio visits with each of the five jurors, and an interview for Foundwork’s Dialogues program. Three additional artists will be selected for the Short List, each receiving a $1,000 micro-grant.
