About the Call Full Details
Anonymous Drawings is an exhibition project inviting artists worldwide to submit drawings for a unique exhibition at the ZAK – Center for Contemporary Art in Berlin. The project explores how judgment changes when artists’ names and origins are unknown, and how value is determined when all works are offered at a uniform price. Participants are invited to question the boundary between art and non-art.
The exhibition will feature approximately 600 drawings by 600 international artists, presented without revealing their names or work titles. There are no thematic restrictions, but works must not exceed A3 format (29.7 × 42 cm). Biographical information is omitted during selection, which is based solely on anonymized image files. Only selected artists will be asked to send their original drawings to Berlin.
Participation is open to everyone and is free of charge. The exhibition runs from January 30 to April 25, 2027. Anonymous Drawings serves as both a conceptual artwork and an exhibition platform, creating a collective artwork without hierarchies that continually re-examines the relationship between art, the market, and the public. The project is conceived and realized by artist and curator Anke Becker.
