The Tartget Prize International Painting Contest returns for its second edition, solidifying its status as a leading cultural platform for artists worldwide. This competition seeks to provide visibility to creators across all career stages while encouraging artistic production and connecting artists with collectors and galleries. The initiative serves as a global window for various pictorial styles, ranging from hyperrealism and impressionism to surrealism and abstraction.

The call is open to artists utilizing any technique or style, including figurative, contemporary, abstract, and conceptual approaches. Traditional mediums such as oil, watercolor, and drawing are welcome. A prestigious international jury consisting of world-renowned masters will evaluate the submissions to select finalists for the upcoming exhibition cycle.

Selected finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the historic Ateneo de Madrid, located within the UNESCO World Heritage site known as the “Paisaje de la Luz.” This event includes a winners’ exhibition and an awards ceremony, providing significant international exposure for participating artists.

The Prizes

Primary Award Value Total prize pool of over $100,000 (more than €90,000). Main awards include: Gold Tartget ($14,000), Silver Tartget ($7,000), Bronze Tartget ($4,700), and Fusion Tartget ($4,700). Technical prizes of $4,700 each are awarded for Drawing and Watercolor. Benefits also include 4 art residencies in Tablas de Daimiel National Park, training stays at Atelier Madrid, acquisition prizes, and international promotion.
