Manifest Creative Research Gallery invites visual artists and designers to submit original works for VELVET, an exhibition exploring the variance, darkness, and graphic power of the color black. This call seeks art that investigates black as both an absence and a completeness, examining its role in providing clarity, shadow, and sensory depth through various materials.
The opportunity is open to all traditional and non-traditional genres and media. Selected works will be showcased in a physical exhibition in Cincinnati and documented in a high-quality hardcover publication produced by Manifest Press, ensuring long-term dissemination of the project and its participants.
Entry Fees
$45 for up to three entries submitted. $5 per each additional entry.
The Prizes
$50 honorarium for each participating exhibitor; $1,000 Grand Jury Award for one work per exhibition period; high-quality hardcover publication documentation.
