About the Call Full Details
The Gifts of Art Program invites artists to submit proposals for individual and group art exhibits for its September 2026 to August 2027 exhibition year. This initiative is one of the nation’s most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs, dedicated to integrating art and music within Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan. The program utilizes art to aid the healing process, calm nerves, uplift spirits, and reduce stress in healthcare environments.
Individual artists and groups are welcome to apply. Michigan Medicine values inclusion, encouraging submissions from people of all races, ethnicities, ages, genders, sexual orientations, religions, beliefs, abilities, socioeconomic statuses, and levels of education. This call is open exclusively to artists residing in the U.S.
Applicants must submit original artwork only. A brief description of the proposed exhibit is required. Individual artists should upload a minimum of 20 high-quality JPEG images, while groups must upload at least 30. Accepted artists are responsible for providing sufficient artwork to fill an entire gallery site, as well as managing and covering all shipping costs for artwork delivery to and from Michigan Medicine.
