MVA Gallery invites artists to explore the essence of a woman, examining her physical, psychological, and spiritual characteristics. This call encourages a wide range of interpretations, from tranquil portraits to complex depictions of professional roles, vulnerability, strength, and societal expectations. Artists are invited to submit work that raises provocative questions about identity and perception through various approaches to portraiture.

Eligible submissions include traditional and non-traditional styles, environmental portraits, and self-portraits. The gallery welcomes diverse artistic visions, including realistic, abstract, surreal, cubist, and expressionist styles. This opportunity is open to photographers, sculptors, and multi-media artists looking to showcase their finest original work in a professional gallery setting.

Selected works will be featured in a group exhibition at the MVA Gallery in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and current residents of the United States. All submitted work must be original, and the artist must hold sole ownership of all rights.

Entry Fees

$35.00 for 3 images; $5.00 for each additional image up to 9 total.

The Prizes

Primary Award Value Art of Distinction Award (feature in a special MVA Gallery exhibit); One artist selected for a New York City exhibition; $200 optional Director’s Choice Award.
