The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) welcomes applications for Cycle 4 of its Artist, Community & Education, and Curatorial & Research Residencies. Running from June 2027 to December 2028, this cycle is structured around three distinct strands: Listening/Attuning, Making/Material Cultures, and Beyond Human/Interdependence.
Artists, curators, educators, researchers, and creative practitioners from around the world are invited to apply, including individuals, duos, and collectives from all mediums and disciplines. Applicants should interpret these themes in relation to their artistic and research practices.
Residents will undertake independent research and have the opportunity to engage with communities and the public in Singapore. They are encouraged to share their works-in-progress or research outcomes through various public formats such as open studios, screenings, workshops, and talks. International applicants may apply for residencies lasting one to three months, while Singapore-based applicants are eligible for residencies of up to six months.
