Decagon Gallery presents “Portal – At the Edge of Becoming,” an international open call exploring the concept of the threshold. This exhibition focuses on photography that occupies the space where a shift is imminent, capturing moments of profound tension and structural instability.
The call is open to photographers worldwide aged 18 and over, welcoming all styles and processes. The gallery seeks images that embody transition rather than merely describing it, favoring works that feel psychologically unsettled or suspended between states of being.
Selected artists will have their work featured in a curated online exhibition and a permanent digital gallery. While literal interpretations like doors or windows are permitted, the photograph must carry a significant sense of tension where something is at stake.
