About the Call Full Details

The Maryland Federation of Art invites artists to submit work for ‘Off the Wall 2026,’ an exhibition dedicated to sculptures that command physical space. This call seeks free-standing 3D works that challenge the viewer and move beyond traditional wall-hanging art. Selected pieces will be showcased at the Earl Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland.

Entry is open to artists residing in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico. All submissions must be original, hand-crafted 3D works created within the last three years. Artists may submit up to six pieces for consideration by juror Jim Hirschfield, a veteran sculpture educator and public artist.

Entry Fees

$45 for 1 or 2 entries ($30 for MFA Members). Up to 4 additional entries $6.75 each ($4.50 for MFA Members).

The Prizes

Primary Award Value Juror-designated awards totaling $1,000.
