About the Call Full Details
Nails in the Wall Gallery invites artists to submit works for the juried exhibition “Light and Shadow: a Study in Contrast.” This call encourages participants to explore the interplay of luminescence, shade, and chiaroscuro, whether through literal representation or figurative interpretation. Artists are asked to consider the nature of light and darkness, investigating whether shadow is an absence of light or an intentional form with substance.
The call is open to artists worldwide working in multi-media disciplines. Note that art created solely by using AI technology is not accepted. The mission of the gallery is to provide an inclusive and supportive space for the community to grow through the medium of art, respecting the dignity of every human being through connection to creation.
Submissions must include the artist’s contact information and a list of entries, with a limit of five works per person. Digital images must follow a specific naming convention including title, size in inches, and medium. Selected works will be showcased in a group exhibition in Metuchen, New Jersey, from September to December 2026.
