The International Mute Photo Festival (IMPhF) 2027 is calling for photography submissions based on the theme ‘Nature ate the pixels’. The culminating exhibition will be held in Karlovasi, Samos, Greece, in July 2027. In an era dominated by digital mediation, IMPhF 2027 seeks to rekindle a silent dialogue between Humanity and Nature. The festival invites images that capture resilient coexistence, moments where human presence embeds within the landscape, or where nature triumphantly reclaims its space. The exclusive capturing medium for this open call is a children’s thermal printer camera, redefining an accessible toy into a powerful tool for contemporary artistic creation, embracing imperfection, organic forms, and low-resolution intimacy.
The call is open to photographers of all levels, with submissions requiring 6–9 images from the Adult Category. Additionally, children and youth under 18 years old are invited to apply with 5 images. Thematic categories include Landscape, Symbiosis, Rebirth, and Future.
