Manifest Creative Research Gallery invites artists to submit works for ‘PASTEL,’ an exhibition exploring the medium as both a physical material and a color vocabulary. The call bridges the gap between painting and drawing, focusing on the soft, dusty marks and brilliant hues characteristic of pastel work.
This call is open to artists worldwide, accepting original works in all traditional and non-traditional media. Entries should address the broad theme of pastel, whether through the use of the material itself or through a visual exploration of high-key, muted, and harmonizing color palettes.
Selected artists will have their work exhibited at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati. The selection process involves a two-part jury of professional and academic advisors. Furthermore, all accepted works will be featured in a high-quality hardcover publication by Manifest Press to document the season’s exhibitions.
Entry Fees
$45 for up to three entries; $5 for each additional entry.
