About the Call Full Details

Harper College invites artists from across the United States to submit work for the 48th annual Small Works National Juried Exhibition. This prestigious showcase highlights diverse contemporary art across various media, including photography, prints, painting, and sculpture. The exhibition will be held at Harper College from September 8 through October 15, 2026.

The call is open to all artists aged 18 and older residing in the U.S. Eligible entries must have been created within the last three years and cannot exceed 24 inches in any dimension, including the frame. Additionally, works must weigh no more than 45 pounds. Most media are welcome, though jewelry and film/video submissions are excluded from this specific call.

The jury process will be led by Dan Devening, a prominent Chicago-based artist, educator, and gallerist. All accepted work must be available for the duration of the exhibition period and meet standard installation requirements.

Primary Award Value Cash or value awards, inclusion in a printed color catalog, and potential selection for a future solo exhibition at Harper College. No commission is taken on sales.
