Artificial Imagination

About the Call Full Details

Artists, filmmakers, and digital creators are invited to submit moving image works for ‘Artificial Imagination,’ a growing archive of video works exploring the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence.

Selected works will be featured in a video installation at Prompt, an event celebrating AI and creativity, taking place in the gardens of an old castle in Brescia, Italy. This project aims to gather diverse artistic perspectives on the increasing presence of AI in creative processes, examining how algorithms and generative tools are reshaping visual culture.

Eligible video works, with a suggested duration of 30 seconds to 5 minutes, should engage with themes such as AI-assisted creative processes, algorithmic culture, the language of AI, data/systems/power dynamics, and speculative futures shaped by artificial intelligence. Submissions can include experimental films, short visual essays, generative or AI-assisted videos, hybrid moving image projects, or video ‘shitposting’. The call particularly welcomes works driven by experimentation, visual research, or poetic reflection that use AI tools, critically reflect on AI systems, explore algorithmic culture, or investigate techno-philosophical approaches to human-machine relationships.
