About the Call Full Details

The Aftermath Project is currently accepting proposals for its 2026 Post-Conflict Grant. This esteemed grant, a cornerstone of the organization’s mission since 2007, aims to support documentary photographers.

This opportunity is open to working photographers from around the globe who are dedicated to creating compelling visual narratives that shed light on the complex issues arising in the aftermath of conflict. The project seeks work that addresses the critical processes of rebuilding lives and homes, restoring civil societies, healing the enduring wounds of war, and forging new paths towards peace.

Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive application package. This includes a signed application form in PDF or JPG format, along with a project proposal not exceeding two pages, saved as a Word document (.doc or .docx), which must begin with a one-sentence summary statement. A portfolio of up to 30 images, formatted as JPGs (1200 pixels on the longest side, 72 dpi, max 2MB per photo, labeled ‘Lastname_Number.jpg’ with captions embedded in the File Info), is also necessary. Additionally, a caption sheet and a short biographical statement (not exceeding two paragraphs), both saved as Word documents, must be provided. Please ensure only the requested materials are included. Applications should be submitted via a file-sharing service (e.g., WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox) to the specified email address.
