About the Call Full Details
HIAP and Sumud invite Palestine-based and Palestinian contemporary visual artists to apply for a three-month residency in Helsinki. This opportunity, running from April 12 to July 11, 2027, will be hosted at HIAP Cable Factory, Helsinki’s largest cultural complex.
The residency is a key part of the Ukraine Solidarity Residency Programme, generously supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, and is a collaborative initiative between HIAP Helsinki International Artist Programme and Sumud.
Participants are not required to produce new works or an exhibition. The primary focus is to offer dedicated time and space for artists to temporarily disengage from daily routines, concentrate on artistic research, and foster collaborative dialogues within the local art scene. There is an option to develop an exhibition proposal for presentation at HIAP from 2029 onwards.
