HBK Braunschweig invites applications from visual and sound artists for its prestigious 12-month Braunschweig Projects Residency Programme for 2027–28. This program offers two sound art fellowships and five visual arts fellowships.
The initiative targets artists who are keen to develop a project in close proximity to HBK Braunschweig, with a project proposal that significantly contributes to the evolution of artistic practice. Successful applicants will be assigned a mentor to facilitate integration into university life and will have opportunities to present their artistic project progress within the university setting.
Applicants must have successfully completed an art degree and demonstrate extensive artistic practice and exhibition participation. Fellows are expected to reside in Braunschweig for a minimum of eight months during the HBK lecture period and participate in the Welcome Weeks, scheduled from 19 to 30 April 2027.
Entry Fees
Fellows must pay a contribution of 250 EUR per month towards incidental living costs.
