The Power of Color 2026 is an open call for artists hosted by the Maryland Federation of Art. This exhibition focuses on color as a fundamental element of artistic expression that transcends language, empowering creators to convey energy and meaning. Selected works will be showcased at the MFA Circle Gallery in historic Annapolis, Maryland.
The call is open to artists residing in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico. Eligible submissions include original 2D and 3D abstract fine art works in any media created within the past three years. Artists may submit a maximum of six entries for consideration by the juror.
All entered works must be the original product of the artist’s hand. This exhibition highlights contemporary experimentation with color harmonies and the digital age’s role in reshaping how color is perceived in modern art.
Entry Fees
1 or 2 entries $45 (MFA Members $30). Up to 4 additional entries $6.75 each (MFA Members $4.50).
